Puppies
We breed infrequently, only when we are looking to keep a puppy ourselves and pups from that litter are then available to loving and approved homes.
We do hold a waiting list but cannot predict how far ahead in time it may be until a suitable puppy is available.
We now health test our dogs both genetically as well as clinically where possible for a comprehensive panel of issues including DM (Degenerative Myelopathy), MDR1, PRA, CEA, IPD & JRD and we breed for a combination of health, temperament, quality and type. Copies of parents' health certificates will be supplied within your puppy pack where appropriate and all puppies are DNA tested for MDR1 status before they leave us with both their status certificate and a guidance letter supplied for your Vet.
All puppies are microchipped before leaving us and in addition to health certification of parents, and your puppy's MDR1 certificate, our puppy packs contain our own information booklet, weight and worming records, KC Registration Certificate, one month of free insurance via The Kennel Club, toys, blanket, suitable brush & comb for the breed, collar and lead, puppy shampoo and puppy food for continuity when you get your new bundle home.
Rough Collies are really very healthy dogs, make incredible pets, are wonderful with children (we generally recommend that puppies are only homed with children over five years), they will enjoy a long walk, or sit at your feet in front of the fire.
Grooming, if done regularly, is very easy to manage and we provide you with a suitable brush as well as lots of advice.
If you are interested in knowing more about Rough Collies, why not visit the Discover Dogs Exhibition, held twice a year in London and in Birmingham?
You are welcome to contact us for more information on the breed, and we shall do our best to offer you the best advice we can.
We offer our new collie owners a lifetime of support.
